OGG1 and Alzheimer disease: Weissman et al. [22] described lower 8oxoG and uracil incisions in the inferior parietal lobule (IPL) of sporadic AD patients and patients with mild cognitive impairment compared to normal age-matched controls, with a corresponding decrease in the expression levels of 8oxoG DNA glycosylase (OGG1) and uracil-DNA glycosylase (UNG).
