KRAS and familial pancreatic carcinoma: In the 62 pancreatic cancer cases examined in the present study, with respect to cytopathologic diagnosis, the KRAS point mutation was found in 50% (2/4) of the cases with a result of no malignancy, in 71% (5/7) of the cases in which malignancy was suspected, and in 76% (39/51) of the cases in which malignancy was diagnosed (Table 1).
