INS and migraine disorder: Additionally, two clinic-based population studies of ICHD-II–defined adult migraineurs found that insulin resistance is significantly altered in (1) young, non-obese, non-diabetic, normotensive migraine patients as opposed to healthy control subjects (Rainero et al., 2005), and (2) migraine patients compared with non-migraine headache patients (Cavestro et al., 2007).
