Interestingly, serum adiponectin, an anti-inflammatory hormone typically reduced during obesity, exhibited a modest but significantly higher concentration in the HF-FO group relative to both the HF and LF diets (P>0.05), which is consistent with previous reports with n-3 PUFA supplementation [5], [6], [12].
