Our findings show that there is a close relationship between the presence of TLR3 rs5743313/CT and an increased risk of pneumonia in children infected by the pandemic A/H1N1/2009 influenza virus, whereas the prevalence of other selected TLR2, TLR3 and TLR4 polymorphisms does not seem to be associated with an increased risk of infection. The gene discussed is TLR4; the disease is susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
