To study the associations between gene expression and ovarian cancer risk alleles, we obtained the whole genome mRNA expression profiles in 121 non-redundant lymphoblastoid cell lines (LCLs) derived from 74 non-related familial ovarian cancer patients who are non-carriers of known BRCA1/2 and MMR gene mutations, as well as 47 non-cancer unrelated family controls. The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
