MiR-15a and miR-16-1 have been identified as tumor suppressor genes in prostate cancer (Bonci et al., 2008), and are associated with the expression gene that promote the survival, proliferation, and invasion in prostate cancer cells, including Bcl2, CCND1, and WNT3 A (Sherr, 1996; Dhanasekaran et al., 2001; Clevers, 2006). This evidence concerns the gene CCND1 and prostate cancer.
