CD8A and cytomegalovirus infection: Offspring from long-lived families had a significantly lower number of late-stage, possibly terminally, differentiated CD8+ T cells (CD45RA−CCR7−CD27−CD28−) and latent CMV infection did not have the same impact on the percentage of naive (CD45RA+CCR7+CD27+CD28+) and late-differentiated effector memory CD8+ T-cells as it has in the rest of the population.
