Based on such a simple and well established concept of paper folding, the group has shown that chemiluminescence detection of four cancer biomarkers ((r-fetoprotein (AFP), carcinoma antigen 153 (CA153), carcinoma antigen 199 (CA199), and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)) in whole blood samples can be performed in a single run without the need for multiple washing steps.
