A limited number of diagnostically useful immunohistochemical markers have been applied in an attempt to differentiate HCC from liver metastases or cholangiocarcinoma including; HepPar-1, polyclonal carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), and CD10, with alfa-fetoprotein (AFP) and glypican-3 labeling some HCCs[6].
