In this study, we are the first to report that when colon cancer SW620 cells were pre-treated with 20 μmol/L Jak-STAT3 pathway inhibitor AG490 for 1 h, and then exposed to bufalin, the down-regulation of livin protein expression and activation of caspase-3 were enhanced, suggesting that livin and survivin might be STAT3 downstream targets. Here, STAT3 is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
