Considered globally, the comparison of the VAT of these experimental groups has revealed that T2D-MO subjects exhibit the same pro-inflammatory profile than the high IR-MO subjects, characterized by elevated infiltration of M1 macrophages and high levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNFα, JNK1/2, ERK1/2, STAT3 and NF-κB. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK3 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
