The results from the logistic regression models revealed that the A allele was positively associated with the occurrence of mucinous ovarian cancer (OR = 3.48; 95% CI:1.15-6.83; P = 0.001), low degree of differentiation (OR = 1.87; 95% CI:1.03-3.47; P = 0.003), lymph node metastasis (OR = 1.69; 95% CI: 1.14-2.75; P = 0.010) and ER positive (OR = 2.72; 95% CI: 1.38-4.81; P = 0.002), which can be used to predict disease prognosis and treatment outcomes. The gene discussed is ESR1; the disease is mucinous ovarian cancer.
