In the inflamed human skin of the huPBL-SCID-huSkin model we here demonstrate that the skin inflammatory phenotype resembles human plaque-type psoriasis at multiple levels; macroscopically we found erythema and skin thickening, microscopically using histology we demonstrated acanthosis, parakeratosis and psoriasis like rete ridges, and by immunohistochemistry we found increased expression of hBD-2, elafin, K16 and Ki67 and reduced K10 expression. Here, KRT16 is linked to Erythema.
