INS and ischemic stroke: On combining the studies assessing the impact of GKI or insulin-saline-potassium-magnesium infusions in ischemic stroke patients, there was no improvement in mortality (reported in three studies; RR 1.08, 95% CI 0.89 to 1.32, P = 0.43) or neurological recovery (reported in three studies; RR 1.02, 95% CI 0.94 to 1.10, P = 0.63).
