Interestingly, the proinflammatory response of supernatants from HIV-1-infected macrophages on day 16 after infection showed marked increases in CXCL10, MCP-1, and TNF-α by Bioplex array (Figure2A, lower panels), while other cytokines and chemokines were not significantly changed (data not shown).
