Having demonstrated that in vitro angiopoietin-like 6 is a potent chemoattractant for cells expressing α6 integrin and E-cadherin (Fig 4F), we asked whether the angiopoietin-like 6-mimicking peptide CGIYRLRSC could interfere with the homing of CRC cells to the liver in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene CDH1 and colorectal carcinoma.
