INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus: This university-based study examined 188 patients with type 2 diabetes who had received insulin plus adjunctive exenatide for a mean duration of 350 ± 208 days (mean baseline parameters: HbA1c, 8.05 ± 1.47%; age, 56 ± 9 years; body mass index, 40.4 ± 8.4 kg/m2; and total daily insulin dose, 99.9 ± 90.0 U).
