Data obtained from viral plaque assay, Western blotting and TEM, collectively demonstrated that shRNA E1 and nsP1 exhibited sustained inhibitory activity against the replication of CHIKV upon infection at M.O.I. 1 in stable HeLa cell clones at Day 1 and Day 2 p.i. Notably, shRNA E1 and nsP1 have individually produced a strong inhibition against CHIKV replication at Day 3 p.i (Figure 3A). This evidence concerns the gene SH2D3A and infection.
