The present results demonstrate that acacetin not only attenuates asthma symptoms by reducing IL-5 and decreasing eotoxin-1 levels for eosinophil activation but also reduces ICAM-1 expression in tracheal epithelial cells to reduce the ability of eosinophils to adhere to tracheal epithelial cells and migrate into the lungs. Here, ICAM1 is linked to asthma.
