EZR and dysplasia: In the present study, 277 cases of gastric adenocarcinomas, 32 of dysplasia, and 26 of normal gastric mucosa were investigated, and it was found that Ezrin expression was significantly up-regulated in gastric cancers and dysplasia compared with normal gastric mucosa, however no difference was found between gastric cancer and dysplasia, indicating that Ezrin protein overexpression could be used as the early diagnostic marker for gastric cancer and its precancerous disease.
