The frequency of LIPG 584T allele was 10.3% in blacks, 31.2% in white controls, 32.6% in whites with high HDL-C[50], 26% in the Lipoprotein and Coronary Atherosclerosis Study population (white individuals, but including 27 or 7% African Americans)[51], 26% in Japanese[52], and 21.6% in healthy school-aged Japanese children[53].
