Patients who have many comorbidities may be predicted to have increased γ-H2AX foci similar to our patient who had the most co-morbidities under study (four: sleep apnea, vitamin D deficiency, cataracts and hypertension) and who had the highest γ-H2AX foci/cell ratio (9.19 vs. 4.25 average for all participants). The gene discussed is H2AX; the disease is cataract.
