In this study, we have investigated the role of Hirano bodies, intracellular F-actin-rich inclusions, found in a variety of post-mortem neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease [4], [37], [70], [71] and cell death induced by APP, AICDc58 and c31 and tau. The gene discussed is MAPT; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
