At the humane endpoint, Hexb−/−HexTg and Hexb−/−SYNTg mice had a mild tremor, and sporadic glycoconjugate storage was seen in Purkinje cells in the cerebellum as revealed by PAS staining; indeed, both strains showed abundant storage of glycoconjugate in lobe ten of the cerebellum.
