Given the observations from anti-CD3 antibody-treated DIO mice that depletion of Th1 cells or deficiency of Th1 cytokine IFN-γ reversed adipose tissue inflammation and insulin resistance (Winer et al, 2009a; Rocha et al, 2008), inactivation of Th1 cells will suffice to improve insulin resistance in ODNR01-treated mice.
