We next examined the role of 5-HT6 receptor-mediated mTOR signalling in rats that had received repeated injections of the psychotomimetic phencyclidine (PCP) during the neonatal period (Fig 5A), a treatment that provokes cognitive and other behavioural changes characteristic of schizophrenia in the mature animal (Jones et al, 2011).
