In the review series on 132 pituitary carcinomas [2], 23.5% were non-functioning, 36.4% secreted prolactin only, 29.5% secreted adrenocorticotropic hormone only, and 0.2% secreted gonadotropin-releasing hormone; there were individual cases of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion and single cases of prolactin and LH secretion and prolactin and TSH secretion. This evidence concerns the gene PLOD1 and pituitary adenocarcinoma.
