While the present results revealing the lack of overt oncogenic potential in endometriotic tissue concur with some of the earlier reports[6-8], genes (CHEK1, ERBB family, laminin gamma and Ki-67) associated with gynecological cancers[57-60] were highly expressed in autologous, paired eutopic and ectopic tissues. The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is female reproductive organ cancer.
