IL10 and chronic hepatitis C virus infection: A higher frequency of GG genotype of the −1082 polymorphism of the IL-10 (41.2%) and a higher frequency of CC for +33 IL-4 polymorphism (72.2%) were observed in patients with acute hepatitis with spontaneous viral clearance than in patients with chronic hepatitis C (6.2% and 36.7% respectively; p < 0.05) It is worth mentioning that all patients with spontaneous viral clearance showed GG genotype of the −1082 polymorphism of the IL-10 together with CC genotype of the polymorphism of IL-4 +33, forming a diplotype GGCC.
