CLN3 and nutritional disorder: The first observation is that the genomic signature of bhlh100/bhlh101 clearly argues for a strong defect in iron homeostasis with many iron deficiency-induced genes being upregulated to a stronger extent in bhlh100/bhlh101. These include OPT3, BTS and ORG1 in both roots and shoots, and PYE, NRAMP3/4, FRO3, bHLH39 in shoots specifically (Figures 9, 10 and Table S2).
