In spontaneous experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) secondary to Treg dysfunction, the adoptive transfer of CD4+ T cells from either wild-type or IL-2−/− KO mice conferred protection from EAE, whereas adoptive transfer of CD4+ T cells from IL-2Rα−/− KO mice did not [35].
