Since abnormalities in PKC-modulated signaling pathways and alterations in intracellular Ca2+ metabolism have been implicated in cardiomyopathy and heart failure [4], [5], [6], we decided to explore the role of H2O2 in control of PKC activation, intracellular Ca2+ pathways, and eNOS phosphorylation responses in cardiac myocytes. The gene discussed is PRRT2; the disease is cardiomyopathy.
