Compared with patients without renal end point, patients with renal end point were found to have higher prevalence of smoking history, higher prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM), lower albumin, higher fasting glucose, lower hematocrit, lower baseline eGFR, higher uric acid, higher prevalence of proteinuria, higher PWdisperC, and higher PWdurMaxC. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and diabetes mellitus.
