CD4 and malaria: Three-fourths of the co-infected individuals were in the 30-50 year range, but there was no difference in average age between those with and without malaria (38 vs. 40 years, p=0.14), median CD4+ T-cell counts (222 vs. 244/μL, p=0.19) or proportion CD4+ T-cell below 200/μL (48% vs. 40%, p=0.51).
