CDH13 and ovarian carcinoma: Based on our data, we hypothesize that CDH13 can be downregulated in ovarian carcinoma by two different pathways: in Her2/neu-negative ovarian carcinoma, CDH13-targeting miRNAs are sufficient to inactivate CDH13; in Her2/neu-positive ovarian carcinoma, these miRNAs are downregulated, CDH13 was inactivated through promoter DNA methylation.
