After adjusting for covariables identified by univariate analysis using multivariate analysis we found only smoking status (OR: 3.385, 95% CI: 1.86–6.15, p<0.001), UGT1A6 541A>G (OR: 3.582, 95% CI: 1.27–10.04, p = 0.015), 552A>C (OR: 5.364, 95% CI: 1.92–14.96, p = 0.001) and IVS1+130G>T (OR: 0.191, 95% CI: 0.09–0.36, p<0.001) were independent predictive factor for lung cancer risk. The gene discussed is UGT1A6; the disease is lung carcinoma.
