We show that targeting eEF-2K expression by neutral liposomal siRNA results in depletion of both eEF-2K and phosphorylated eEF2 and leads to inhibition of the growth of triple negative MDA-MB-231 tumors, a highly aggressive and metastatic tumor type, in an orthotopic nude mouse model of breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene EEF2K and metastatic neoplasm.
