CXCL9 and schistosomiasis: In vitro, we demonstrated that CXCL9 and CXCL10 inhibited the expression of collagen, TGF-β and TIMP1 of hepatic non-parenchymal cells of mice infected with S. japonicum, while increased the gene expression of MMP9, suggesting that they played an anti-fibrosis role in the liver of schistosomiasis.
