Our results from this study demonstrate that 15-HETE levels and 15-LOX-2 expression were actually higher in androgen-independent prostate cancer cells, such as MDA PCa 2a and MDA PCa 2b cells, than they were in the androgen-dependent LNCaP cells; furthermore, expression levels were higher in prostate tumor-containing tissues than they were in the tissues without tumor. Here, ALOX15B is linked to prostate neoplasm.
