The mean duration of virus shedding was significantly shorter compared with the negative control group (Gp2: 3.0 days and Gp6: 6.0 days, respectively). The magnitude of the infection in Gp2 (considered as the amount of virus shed determined as the area under the shedding curve (AUC: 4.5×104) was comparable with the AUC in the Wa HRV IgG 4096 treated piglets (Gp5: 1.9×104) and significantly less than that in piglets from negative control groups (Gp6 Ab free milk: 2.9×106; Gp4 control IgY: 4.7×105 and Gp3 VP6 IgY: 2.7×105). Here, GP2 is linked to infection.
