We showed that adoptive transfer of highly enriched naïve CD4+CD25+ T cells (Tregs) led to increased peak parasitemia and production of disease exacerbating inflammatory cytokines, including IFN-γ, IL-6, TNF and MCP-1 early during infection in C57BL/6 mice (Figure 4 A–E).
