As shown in Figure 2B, transgenic organoids and VCaP cells expressed approximately similar levels of ERG. A comparison of ERG protein levels demonstrated noticeably higher steady-state levels in the VCaP line than prostate organoids (Figure 2C), implying a post-transcriptional regulatory mechanism that is operationally different in these primary cells as compared to the VCaP adenocarcinoma cell line. The gene discussed is ERG; the disease is adenocarcinoma.
