Silencing SHP-1 in ALK+ ALCL is important as SHP-1 negative regulates NPM-ALK signalling through either the direct or indirect dephosphorylation of NPM-ALK, JAK2, and STAT3 [114–116], and the targeting of NPM-ALK for proteasomal degradation [115, 116]. Here, NPM1 is linked to anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
