HOXB13 has recently been reported to regulate the cellular response to androgens [22] as well as co-localize with AR to suppress androgen-stimulated PSA expression [23], while HOXC8 appears to negatively regulate AR signaling in prostate cancer cells by inhibiting SRC-3 recruitment to direct androgen target genes [24]. This evidence concerns the gene HOXC8 and prostate carcinoma.
