Podocytes are injured in many forms of human glomerular disease, including minimal change disease, FSGS, membranous glomerulopathy, diabetes mellitus, IgA nephropathy, and lupus nephritis [11].The present study demonstrated that RANK and RANKL were upregulated in human glomerular disease (FSGS, IgA nephropathy and MN) compared with the control. This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF11A and lupus nephritis.
