After CER hyper-stimulation, there was a loss of labeling at the apical pole of the acinar cell (Fig. 2A) Fractionation of pancreas (from unstimulated rats and animals treated with CER to induce pancreatitis) by differential centrifugation showed that the majority of the sAC (34 kD) was found in the cytosol (Fig. 3A, S300) and very light membrane fractions (Fig. 3A, P180 and P300), with much less sAC associated with heavier membrane fractions (Fig. 3A, P1.75, P3 and P15). Here, CBLN1 is linked to pancreatitis.
