For the first time, we analyzed the mutation status of coding MACC1 exons in colorectal tumors and studied the association of MACC1 SNPs with clinicopathological data, including gender, age, tumor stages, lymph node involvement and, in particular, with the development of distant metastases as well as with overall and metastasis-free survival. Here, MACC1 is linked to colorectal neoplasm.
