In contrast, the EGF +61G/A polymorphism was associated with a significant decreased risk of glioma in homozygote comparison (AA versus GG, OR = 0.66, 95% CI = 0.49–0.88, Figure 1) and dominant model (AA/GA versus GG, OR = 0.73, 95% CI = 0.58–0.93, Figure 2). This evidence concerns the gene EGF and central nervous system cancer.
