Our results are consistent with the findings of Ozawa et al(14) and Ginsburg and Vonderhaar (15), which showed that EGF treatment stimulated the growth of SCCHN tumor xenografts, showing an increased tumor volume in the A431, NA and Ca9-22 cell line mouse xenografts after treatment with murine EGF. This evidence concerns the gene EGF and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
